1. Observe the General Atmosphere

What do you notice as soon as you arrive?

Is the environment calm, welcoming and organised? Do students appear happy, comfortable and engaged?

Sometimes, the atmosphere can tell you things that a brochure or website cannot.

2. Look at the Classrooms

Are the classrooms clean, well-lit and adequately ventilated? Are the desks and chairs appropriate for the students?

Look for learning materials, educational displays and resources that make the classroom engaging.

A good learning environment should encourage children to participate, ask questions and enjoy learning.

3. Pay Attention to the Teachers

Observe how teachers interact with students.
